Yuriy Piskalyuk

Head of Programs IFES Ukraine

Yuriy Piskalyuk is Head of Programs at the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) Ukraine. 

Yuriy Piskalyuk was appointed Head of Programs at the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) Ukraine in March 2023 after managing projects in civic education and electoral justice at IFES since 2018. Mr. Piskalyuk has more than 25 years of experience designing and managing complex democracy and governance projects and coordinating stakeholders such as governments, donors, businesses, universities, nongovernment partners, and activists. He has led initiatives in decentralization reform, e-governance and e-democracy, corporate social responsibility, social entrepreneurship development, and local budget transparency at international nongovernmental organizations, as well as technical assistance projects at East Europe Foundation, Eurasia Foundation, PH International, and the International Renaissance Foundation.

Mr. Piskalyuk holds a Specialist degree in Sociology from Ivan Franko Lviv National University and a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.

He speaks three languages  Ukrainian, English, and Russian – and has Polish language skills.
